-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------Admissions Information-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the fall of 2010, we will welcome two new Kindergarten classes and also offer limited spaces in first, second, third, fourth, and fifth grades.

All residents of District 6 are eligible to apply. Criteria for admission are the child's family's commitment to the school's philosophy and to parental involvement in the educational process. Preference will be given to siblings of students already enrolled. Our admissions process strives to find diverse families whose educational vision matches that of HHA. Suitable families are then chosen by lottery.

Applications are available at the orientation meetings/tours only. Applications are due by April 30, 2010. Applicants will be contacted to schedule classroom visits. Please attend one of our orientation sessions/tours to learn more about our philosophy and to see our classrooms.

Who is eligible to apply?
  • Children who will be 5 years old by Dec. 31, 2010 (children born in 2005) may apply for Kindergarten
  • Children who will be 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10 years old by December 31, 2009 may apply for limited places in our 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades
  • Children who reside in District 6

How do I apply?
  • Attend an orientation/school tour this fall (see above)
  • Submit an application by April 30, 2010.
  • Parent(s) attend a classroom visit
What are the criteria for admission?
  • Parent(s) must take a tour and have a classroom visit. Parent must also complete an application.
  • Parent(s) must support the school's educational philosophy.
  • Parent(s) must be willing to participate in school activities and in the educational life of their child.

**Note: completion of the above steps does not guarantee admission to Hamilton Heights School. If there are more applicants than available spaces at any grade level, a lottery will be held.
